Blaize needed a product that made machine-learning workflows more accessible without removing the technical control specialists required. In response, Argo envisioned a single visual workspace for model-building workflows—using guided paths and contextual help to simplify common tasks, while keeping deeper configuration available when users needed it.
Critically, Argo was not just defining a product vision. The team was responsible for making this interface real in working front-end code that Blaize’s backend engineering team could deploy.
I joined the team with a focused mandate: lead the design-side Design System and partner closely with development to ensure high-quality implementation. I was also responsible for designing a guided entry experience for model creation, refining and extending the visual language, and contributing interaction patterns across the product as needed.

In collaboration with argodesign, I designed the primary guided entry experience for model creation, refined and elevated the visual language, contributed additional interaction and visual artifacts, and delivered the Design Language System—all while working closely with development to ensure quality implementation.
The outcome was not just a more polished set of screens. The team had a more cohesive product language, a practical design-to-code workflow, and a working front-end foundation that could move into Blaize’s deployment process.

Guided Entry
Guided Entry
My initial contribution was designing a guided approach to AI model creation. I used a conversational fill-in-the-blank approach—keeping the first decision lightweight while gathering context to guide users toward the right model path and level of support.

I began with a systematic audit of the existing product and then refined and elevated the product language across visual styling, accessibility, core UI, interaction patterns, workflow components, iconography, and illustration.

I was responsible for establishing the team’s design-side tools and methodology for creating a living Design System. I built it from the ground up—extending the earlier product audit to consolidate, organize, and document what the team needed.
