Mop your hard wood floors with white vinegar and water. It doesn’t take off the finish like oil soap.
You can get many stains out of your carpet using a mixture of vinegar, salt and water. Just pour a bit of the mixture on the stain, let it sit, and then pat dry with a paper towel.
If you have older registers in your home or your registers just don’t look as nice as they used to, you can clean them up by spray painting them with Rustoleum’s “hammered metal” finishes.
